Maite's music

Maite Hontelé is a Dutch trumpeter known for her elegant, melodic take on salsa, son, and bolero. She has released several acclaimed albums, including Llegó la Mona (2009), Mujer Sonora (2011), and Déjame Así (2013), showcasing her deep connection to Latin rhythms. Te Voy a Querer (2015) featured collaborations with stars like Alain Pérez and Herencia de Timbiquí, while her Grammy-nominated Cuba Linda (2018) captured the essence of Cuban music. With each album, Hontelé blends tradition and innovation, proving that Latin music knows no borders.

Maite Hontelé is currently playing duo concerts together with Cuban pianist Ramón Valle. Sharing the same Cuban musical backbone, their collaboration brings together Maite's warm, melodic trumpet playing with Ramón's expressive and energetic piano style. They have a record planned for release in September 2025.

Soon a brand-new band will be luanched: Maite Hontelé y La Noviecita. A groundbreaking collaboration between Maite Hontelé and Adinda Meertins, set to shake up the traditional salsa scene.
